Brief: This presentation will explore staff and student experiences with the CSU Online Learning Model and discuss next steps for the framework<\/p>\n
The online context is one of a number of spaces in which formal\u00a0 learning and teaching occurs. When teaching is co-located in both online and face to face environments across multiple cohorts and subjects, there are increasing pressures to perform and it can be difficult to actively engage students in the online space. Concurrently, online learners have competing demands and report feeling isolated, struggle to manage their time,\u00a0 and subsequently withdraw from study. The Online Learning Model (OLM) was designed as a result of these pressures, with a view towards facilitating \u00a0the engagement of both staff and students in this space. Staff and student perceptions of and experience with the model across 116 subjects\/8courses\/1766 survey responses and 19 student interviews \u00a0is presented in this session, alongside implications to consider for future practice.<\/p>\n
